Hi guys,

I am stuck with choosing a proper processor for my new PC. I found lots of compares of these CPUs but all of them are about games.
I just need to build a PC for comfortable work with graphics (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.), web development and music (Ableton Live, Cubase, FL Studio, Kontakt, etc.). I understand that these CPUs are very similar, but gaming is not my priority (I also don't have a good GPU now). I need a good PC for near 3-5 years. Now I go with 16 GB RAM but will buy another 16 in near months.

What CPU is better for professional software and what do you think about Intel's low-quality thermal interface?

Thanks.

If gaming is not your priority then the 2600X is the better option and this is coming from a i7-8700K user! The i5-8600K is very good across the Adobe suite but based on your use case with lots of productivity, then the 2600X will be spot on and last you a long time as the upgrade path will also be easier due to the longevity of the AMD chipset.

Thanks!
I think it is a good choice, but the problem is that in my country the 2700 is 35% more expensive than 2600x.

But it seems that mobo with X370 chipsеt would fit better for the 2700 and it is also more expensive than B350 one.

From what I've heard Adobe plays much better with Intel
