Which of the above would be better for gaming (1080p) using the iGPU... the 5600G because of its stronger processor or the 3400G because of its stronger Vega 11 graphics?
And is the 5600G's Radeon Graphics also known as Vega 7?

Some of the comparisons on youtube seem to show the 5600g is faster, but its iGPU is much weaker. So I'm not sure.

Without going into detail, there were several improvements to the graphics from the Ryzen 3000 to 5000 series.

The number refers to the number of compute units the graphics chip has. Think of it like the number of cylinders in a car. If everything else is the same, a higher number will be more powerful. For example, a 3400g Vega 11 is more powerful than a 3200g Vega 8.

However, when you compare the number across different generations of CPUs from different years, the bigger number might not always be better. For example, a car from 1975 with an inline 6 will probably make similar or less power than a modern 4 cylinder car because of improvements to technology.
