[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600 B450 motherboard

So i'm planning on buying a new cpu and motherboard in maybe 2 months. Will a gigabyte b450 aorus m require a bios update for the ryzen 5 3600? If so do i need a ryzen cpu to flash the bios or is there a different way

More than likely, the motherboard would require a BIOS update in order to use a 3rd generation Ryzen processor (F40). I don't see anything that states you can upgrade the BIOS without an already compatible CPU.

Some retailers provide flashing the BIOS as a service for a price - that is your best bet.

I look at microcenters web site alot
And it seemed like there stock on ryzen boards was dwindling down.
There next shipments may be 3000 ready from the factory.
As i was looking at there site just now for the mobo he was think of in denver there was 3 in stock and found this info.

I would think so.
From the statement on Microcenter web site some on their shelves are ready.

If buying from a online retailer you have no way of telling say the born on date or the date of manufacture unless stipulated or advertised as 3000 or 3rd gen ready.

Giving more time lets bugs get fixed and reviews to start to coming out plus your
Money to spend grow.

I waited till late September to rebuild to the 2600x and asus rog strix x470 f gaming and G.skill flare x 3200 cl14 b-dies
very glad i did wait, as i have had no issuse's.
