Question Ryzen 5 3600 compatibility with b450 motherboard

My friend is buying a new PC and he's getting the Ryzen 5 3600, and the Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite motherboard.
Will they be compatible out of the box???? Or will he have to update the bios manually?

Most B450 mobos are now shipped with the bios update already applied, but he'll need to check with the retailer as they should state whether it is Ryzen Zen 2 compatible, if in doubt assume it hasn't and suggest he look at other retailers.

If purchasing online, just assume that the board has been sitting on the warehouse shelf for several months and will require a BIOS update in order to be compatible with the third gen Ryzen CPU.

[512-Bit]

Most motherboards ship with an updated BIOS, but if it isn't all you should have to do is update it in order to get it to work.

B450 may not have well overclocking support for it though.
