[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600 compatible motherboards

Hi,

I'm rebuilding my system and looking to use a Ryzen 5 3600 for the cpu but I'm looking for a board for it that I can put the chip in without having to put an old chip to update the bios 1st, so any recommendations for boards I can put the chip into out the box without issues.

X570 boards will work but your paying a premium for them and a good B550 board will work well with a Ryzen 3600.

Seen some 450 mobos are hit and miss if they need a bios update which is confusing, I can't see any b550 boards online why I thought 570.

That why if you get a b450 you make sure its compatible such as tomahawk max and gaming plus max both are perfectly fine for 3rd gen cpus

The nice thing about that board is that you can update the BIOS without a CPU.

That being said the board does ship with a updated BIOS so it does support the 3600 out of the box.

This Gigabyte B550 seems pretty good for the price.
