[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 3600 not going above 80c

Hi, I recently built a new system with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a Cooler Master Hyper H411r from my old system. Idle temps are around 50-55c but when testing using AIDA64 my temps jumps from 50c to about 80c instantly and just hits a ceiling and stays there for the whole duration of the test. Completely stock no overclocking or undervolting done.

Ryzen Master is installed but I did not touch it.
I also did not set or change anything in the bios, only thing I did is enable XMP and nothing else.

Specs:

• CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
• CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper H411R
• Mobo: ASRock B450M steel legend
• RAM: Patriot Viper RGB 3200Mhz
• GPU: Asus rx470 strix OC 4GB

That is Working As Intended, there. Its probably throttling to maintain that 80C temp.

Hm, alright then. Just wondering since there is no dips in performance nor does hwinfo say that it is thermal throttling.

you're still hitting a thermal limit even if performance isn't dropping
