So a couple weeks ago I upgraded to am4 and got the ryzen 5 3600 and I just left settings as is except for after updating drivers I enable Ryzen balanced power plan. So my question is whenever I check hwmonitor, just it being open nothing else. the clock speed is about 4174, so 4.2ghz which I think is the boost speed. so should I keep it like this or should I go into bios and disable the boost clock speed?
My system specks are :
Ryzen 5 3600
Msi x570 Mobo
Msi rx570 8gb
Corsair vengeance pro rgb 3200
Corsair h150i pro rgb cooler

Also with these settings and this cooler I get about 36C on idle while some cores are going to sleep in and out as there is no other programs running. What kind of setting should I have it on? thanks for any responses.

So if I have good cooling it will stay at 4.2 even though I dont need it do as I'm not doing any other tasks ?
If the system is idling it should go back down to roughly 3.6ghz but with Win10 sometimes the system will start a Defender scan or even download (not install) an update so even if you think it's idle other stuff may be going on.

But it certainly won't hurt for it to stay at 4.2ghz as long as the CPU stays cool and voltage is within safe limits.

I didnt mess with voltage and I voltage stays around

Ok I'll keep everything as it. Temps while stress testing didnt exceed about 72C I think. And voltage is 1.43-1.45v. I'll just let it stay as it just keep ryzen balanced power plan on. Thanks for the info
