++ ALSO POSTED TO "COMPONENTS", NOT SURE WHICH IS THE RIGHT SECTION++
Hello!

It's been a very long time since I posted in here and long story short, I'm doing a new build and would love to hear some laidback insights from you more "enlightened" people. The last build I did was back during the GTX 6-series so it's been some time I'd say... : )

PURPOSE FOR THE RIG: Mainly 1080p Gaming with a 144hz monitor.
+Not going for heavy OC or anything. Maybe something minimal in the future.
+Not going with the X570 since the very competent B450's are 50-60% cheaper.
(+ AMD guaranteed "equal" performance for the 3rd gen Ryzens across B450/X470/X570)

(CASE: Not 100% sure yet)
(CPU COOLER: AMD Wraith Spire)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8Ghz (Waited for this to launch replacing my initial choice of the 2600x)
GPU: Sapphire RX Vega 56 Pulse 8GB
RAM: Kingston 16GB (2x8) HyperX Fury DDR4 3200mhz
MOBO: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro (ATX)
SSD: 240/480GB Kingston A400
PSU: Seasonic FOCUS+ Gold 650w

NOTE: I'm very well aware of the XT's & RTX super's, but a 2060 super is going to be 200€ more expensive than the Vega, so.... It's a no from me like Simon Cowell would say.
PRICE:The rig would be clearly below 1000€ and in my opinion gives a stellar performance for the price, no?

So, what do you think : )?

Well, unless the pricing is wildly different in whatever Euro country that is in, I see standard RTX2060 and the RX5700 for the same price as the Vega 56. Charts show the RX5700 trading blows with the Vega 56 and 64 across many games...

Looks good to me. RX Vega 56 can be a great bang for your buck if it's priced low enough. How much you paying for it? Where you buying from so we can compare it to other GPUs?

Hey and thank you for the swift answer!

It's 299€ for the model I mentioned above whereas the RTX 2060 lineup starts at 400+.....

This is one of the benchmarks I checked and the Vega is doing more than well against the newer 2060.

Hey & cheers for the quick answer and insights.

The Vega is 299€ whereas the RTX 2060 lineup starts @ 400+€.

The 2060 OC Rog Strix I considered before Is 449€ & supers will be an additional 50-70€ in here on top of the standard RTX 2060 prices.

The cheapest 5700 is 420€.

The Vega absolutely annihilates the RX 580 8GB that I'd most likely be fine with too and is only 30€ more which is genuinely strange.
