Question Ryzen 5 3600x on B450 Tomahawk

Hello, im looking to by new pc so I need ur help.If I buy Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x and B450 Tomahawk will I have to flashback BIOS in order to install 3rd gen?

That depends on when the motherboard was made; whether it was made before or after the BIOS update was released fro 3rd-gen CPU support. The B450 Tomahawk is one of the motherboards that supports BIOS flashing without a CPU. So, you should be able to do that.

I know that both of them have BIOS flashback, Im asking which one support Ryzen 3600x without flashback

If you get the "MAX" MSI motherboards they should bring out of the box BIOS for Ryzen 3rd Gen.

If you get a motherboard with the BIOS Flashback function then you will be able to update it without a CPU been installed.

You only mentioned one motherboard. The MSI MAX motherboards all support 3rd-gen Ryzen out of the box.

I have built my new system based on Ryzen 5 3600 with Asus Rog B450 Strix I Gaming just days ago. It worked out of the box. It is mini ATX . Bought it from Amazon UK.
