So I’m considering getting a rtx 2070 super for much better 1440p gaming compared to my gtx 1070. And after doing some research, I’ve seen that my ryzen 5 2600x could possibly reduce framerate by 10-20 FPS. As this is quite a lot of frames being missed, I’ve seen that a ryzen 5 3600x is a good match for the rtx 2070 super. However I’m wondering if my current board (the ASUS prime b450 plus) could run the 3600x at turbo boost for this new card, or if I’ll also need a new motherboard too.

Any help is appreciated
