Hi, I was wondering if I should worry at all about a bottleneck pairing this GPU with this CPU. I was going to buy a R5 3600 but they are out of stock and I need it by the end of the week for school. For some context I'm replacing a MOBO failure that fried my CPU, MOBO acquired, and now buying my CPU (that's why I'm in so much urgency) . Thanks for the help !!

Thanks a bunch, this is what I figured :) Just wanted to make sure the APUs had fully compatibility with dedicated GPUs and didnt limit them at all. Thanks a bunch <3
The iGPU plays perfectly well with a dGPU. I understand you can install drivers for each and use them simultaneously, each driving a separate display.

Personally, I'd disable the iGPU and configure the system to return as much of the iGPU dedicated memory as possible to the main memory pool though. But I've never tried it on one so don't know how successful it would be.

One thing to be sure of, though, is that your motherboard has BIOS updates to support the 4600G since it's a (relatively) newer processor. I'd suggest going to the very latest available.

Yep! That's the plan, as far as I know I can disable the iGPU in bios and run it like I was with my 3600. Great to here theres no caveats to the iGPU line. All love :)
