Question Ryzen 5 5600G Compatibility with ASRock FM2A68-DG3+

Hello everyone, i'm new to this pc building kind of stuff and need help.

just a simple question, is The ASRock FM2A68M-DG3+ Compatible with the Ryzen 5 5600G?

I'm about to buy a new processor for my PC and have been searching through google but cant find an answer for my question.

No, it's not. That board is FM2+ socket and you must have an AM4 socket for the 5600G. Boards that will support the 5600G that you would want to look at would be B450 (With BIOS update), A520, B550 and X570 chipsets.

But honestly, that hardware is so old it's really not worth investing additional money in. Even with the best CPU you can use in that board you won't gain a whole lot and it won't be comparable in performance even to the least capable processors from the last five years or so.
