Question Ryzen 5 5600X + Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2?

Does the Ryzen 5 5600X fit and work with a Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2? The bios has been updated to the newest possible update.

Right now I have a Ryzen 5 3400G and an RTX 4060 Ti. I heard that the PCIe 3.0 is not really the problem with the bottleneck, but it's rather the processor.
Would the Ryzen 5 5600X work with the RTX 4060 Ti?

According to this CPU support list, so long as you have BIOS version F60, you're good to pair that processor with the board. Simple answer, yes. Long answer, yes!

As long as you have decent cooling should be fine I would personally recommend Ryzen 7 5700x with a 6 heat pipe cooler like thermal right burst. If budget allows. It runs cooler and quieter. Wouldn't recommend a 5600x on a stock cooler.

Thank you both for your answer. I have PCIe 3.0 on my motherboard, how much fps will there be between the PCIe 4.0? I'm really planning on only playing Grand Theft Auto V, Battlefield V, Farming Simulator 25, War Thunder and Forza Horizon 4.

My budget does not allow more, I was planning on putting it on a stock cooler as I'm not really familiar with replacing a processor and this is my first time. I wouldn't know how to put on another cooler other than the AMD cooler haha

Honestly your not going to see a huge loss maybe 5-10 frames at most depending on resolution

No it installs similar to the stock it just uses brackets instead of the Pins it fits on to the existing backplate.

My personal opinion is save up a bit more and get the 5700x it will be a much bigger upgrade and give the games more resources.

You could but am4 is still best budget platform in my opinion. I can't predict what new pc parts cost in future but every generation is more expensive

What resolution are you playing at ?.

If you have the games on ultra drop them down to high. Ultra isn't going to show a huge amount of difference. As for will you see a big jump from 5600x then yes it will have a bigger jump the main reason your games are struggling is the 3400g is a 4 core processor with 8 threads so 2 of those cores can be taken up by windows. Tasks.

5600x is a 6 core which leaves the game like 4-5 cores maybe to play with.

The reason I recomend. The 5700x is it's basically the budget friendly option of pop it in and not needing to upgrade for a few years

8 cores is the sweet spot. List of a the games your playing in a pm and I can probly give you some settings that they will run better at.

The Ryzen 5700x should be a large boost. The extra cores and larger 32mb cache which your old processor cache is 4mb.

For now and yes it will work with your motherboard after a bios update.

Good day again, after a while I kept the rtx 4060 ti. I was thinking: Should I get a Ryzen 7 5700X, it has 8 cores and with my current situation games have not been running so smoothly, medium settings and 40 fps on 1080p GTA 5 is definitely not good.

What cheap cooler can I get to support my processor enough that it won't overheat and also; it has to fit in my case.

In my case upgrading from a 3600@4.4 all core to a 5600x 4.5-4.65 all core is that the maximum frames increased 15+/- percent. But my lows increased around 30 percent.
Most coolers are better than the stock cooler.
If you get a newer stock 5600x it comes with the Wraith stealth cooler.
The 5700x does not come with a cooler .
So what case do you have so we can make sure our recommendations fit.

Also with the 5000 series, Curve Optimizer can work wonders at reducing temps, giving higher boost clocks.

You also have slow ram in your system.
Budget is a concern so I myself would opt for a 5600x which includes a ok cooler and is cheaper. And use the money saved for a memory upgrade.
This would net you another 10-15 percent performance increase over your current memory.
And overall the 5700x with slow memory would perform similar or worse than the 5600x with faster memory.
I know I am a penny pinching performance enthusiast. Odd huh?
5000 series likes 3200-3600 memory with the lowest latency within your budget.
