Hi, I just got a Ryzen 5600x and I'm on stock cooler. When I installed it it got up to 72 degrees on startup and it idles on 60-65degrees atm. I tried to re seat the cooler and re pasted it using the noctua thermal paste but still gave me high temps. Is there a way for me to lower it without cost and is it covered by the warranty? I also have a clean install of my OS (windows 10 pro)

PC Specs:
  • ROG B550-F WIFI Motherboard
  • Ryzen 5600x (all stock settings)
  • 16GB corsair 3600 cl18 ram (8x2)
  • RTX 3070 vulcan OC (all stock settings)
  • 650W Seasonic focus+ 80+ gold
any help will be much appreciated. :D

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? As for the cooler/CPU, what processor were you on prior to the Ryzen 5 5600x? Ambient room air temps? Please include the version(not the edition) of the OS.

Make and model of your case and the setup of airflow in the case?

Sorry, this is my first post here. My CPU beforehand is an i5-7400 and it idles at around 30 degrees and 60 on load. My BIOS version is Version 2423. My ambient room temps is around 26-27 degrees celsius. I got a local case from my country, Rakk Hawani Flow and I have 5 PC Cooler Corona Fans in it (Bitwit Kyle reviewed it for reference). I have it on 1 exhaust on top, 1 exhaust in the back, and 3 intakes on the front. Can it be a BIOS issue? it got released on last August 26th. The windows version is 20H2 and its OS build is 19042.1237
