[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 5600x vs. Ryzen 7 3700 vs. Core i7 10700

As u know the prices have skyrocketed because of scalpers, a shopkeeper in my locality was suggesting that I should go for either the ryzen 7 3700x or core i710700. What should I do? Go for either processor or buy the 5600x at inflated price?
Keep in view that ryzen 7 3700x & core i710700 cost the same in my locality. Ryzen 5 5600x is 40-50$ expensive than both & currently out of stock

Don't understand questions like that as they are personal choice but you can see the difference in performance easily like this

Intel has small advantage with single thread applications but as you can see i choose 3700x. No regrets.

The shopkeeper was saying that there have been reports about some issues with the Zen 3 CPUs. He recommended me to go for the 3700x. I m so confused

There are no issues with Zen3, only with BIOS in some 400 series chipset MBs.

5000 series motherboard bioses are not mature. Many crashing to desktop from idle. With rocket lake coming out, you could get a good deal on a 10700k

Nope. Intel CPUs ALMOST never drop in price/go on sale even with the launch of a new generation.

That was largely fixed with AGESA 1180 coming with latest BIOS versions.

Yes. For gaming, I'd say 5600X>10700>3700X

For productivity 3700X> 10700/5600X

Overall 5600X>3700X>10700
