Question Ryzen 5 8500G vs 5600G ?

In theory, 8500G should be much better than 5600G, but I found some charts that displays that they are equal, or even 5600G is better in some circunstances.

Are these charts true? Is not much better the 8500G?

AFAIK the 8600g is positioned to be the replacement of 5600g as the better next gen. APU @similar launching price point and specs. The 8500g is positioned as one notch below that, if you compare with the earlier gen. I am not really surprised by those results.

5600g has RDNA2 IGPU while 8xxx has RDNA3 graphics so more modern. 8xxxg have better processing power and with faster DDR5 should do better.

8500G has higher boost frequency but less cache and both of those values play different role in different games. With AMD in general x5xx was always considered as "pro" with little to no OC potential and even locked for OC. Such are more like low binned or not completely successful x6xx. 8000 series have better memory management and use DDR5 which is by itself better deal and faster and that's good for GPU, also PCIE v4.0 while 5600g is only v3.0.

5600G/5700G uses the tail end of GCN in the form of Vega, not RDNA2.

There are not many detailed reviews available yet for that chip other than the one you have linked. They look like around the same ballpark approximately. Articles usually do not mean much unless they reflect figures or benchmarks.

The 8500G is a hybrid CPU with 2x Zen 4 cores and 4x Zen 4c cores which means the boost clocks on the latter are much lower than the former. It also only has 4CUs for the GPU which greatly limits the performance potential for the integrated graphics. Between these two things you have a compromised APU which is why it isn't always better than the 5600G.
