Ryzen 5 - complicated build questions

Hi guys -

Looking for some suggestions on a new build with the Ryzen 5 processor. Here's the catch: my old pc died on me so I need to replace it rather quickly, and affordably right now. The goal is to make it a gaming PC in a couple of months, but for now I just need to get it put together for school work.

Preferences: I'd prefer a mobo with 4 RAM slots, so I can just get 8 for now/school work and then add more in the future without having to replace the 2. I'd also prefer a video card that could run dual monitors -- but I want a cheap card as it's definitely going to be replaced in a few months for gaming.

I just don't want to build two separate computers, so I'd rather go ahead and build a school machine with an r5 and then tweak parts month by month.

I'm not 100% set on any specific ryzen cpu. I like the 1600s that come with the wraith spire cooler as I've seen many of those combos, but if the 1400 doesn't bottleneck most games at 1080p on high(ish) settings, then I'm fine with that too.

I have an SSD, OS, Monitors, KB+M all to use right now.

Can someone help me build one of these for 400 or less, that in the next couple of months with another 400 or so can turn into a strong gaming machine?

Thanks!

Add a good 1070 gfx later on and you will have a decent gamin rig. But for sure I would try to get more budget for a higher clocked CPU.
