okay so i want to build a new system around the r5 1400 and a b350 mobo for 800-850€ and i have some questions:

- will 2666 ram help the cpu more than a 2400 ?

- i want to use an rx *80, but should i get a 480 since the price will drop, or a 580 ? (also will i need 8gb of vram since i will only play 1080p ?)

- will 550w be enough ? (cm calculator says 330w usage at load)

If you want a gaming build i would sudjest going with intel i5 they outproform ryzen in gaming but ryzen shines in multithread applications ram speed dosent make a huge diff maybe a few fps here and there but not noticable 550 watts will be plenty i sudjest waiting for the 580 the prices of the 480 will drop ( all the 580 is is a higher overclocked 480)

For Ryzen the memory speed CAN make a huge difference in certain games although moving from 2400 to 2666 would only net you maybe 1-3% at most. Going from say 2133 to 3200 can net your about 10% or more in some games or 1-3% in others. The Average is low but the ones that are affected by the extra speed are noticeably faster.

Ryzen 5 and Intel i5 chips seem to trade blows in games so there really is no clear cut winner in that area certain reviews show the ryzen as the winner others show it as a wash and others again show the i5 as the winner.

550W is more than enough as long as you get a 550W decent psu from a reputable brand.
