Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this Month
Budget Range: $500-700
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: intending to buy a Ryzen 5 1600, ROG Strix B350 MB, Corsair Vengeance lpx16gb
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

The cpu and motherboard and ram purchase will max out that budget very quickly. A bigger impact on your gaming performance would be a new graphics card like a gtx 1060 6gb. The ryzen 5 2400g is the newest cpu out for the AM4 socket from AMD if you're set on upgrading that.

I'd go with something like this, hopefully the Asus will be shipped with the newer BIOS to support the 2400G.
