Question ryzen 5500 on x370m motherboard, will run?

If I want to build my pc with new parts with a ryzen 5500 and an x370m motherboard that are compatible, what would the bios update process be like, when turning on it would let you enter the bios or what would it be like?

Yes with suitable BIOS version.
As for BIOS update, look for it in MBs manual. it's not same for every one.
