Hello all!
Bit of background... I've recently changed my PC build to ITX (so it's more portable) and I've changed the CPU from a 3900XT to a 5600X because I couldn't find a cooler that was powerful enough to both efficiently cool the 3900XT and also fit my case.
I purchased the 5600X to negate these issues, however, whenever I add this CPU to my build and power the PC on, the motherboard (MSI B450I Gaming Plus AC) shows a constant white 'CPU' light.
I then put the 3900XT back into the build and the PC booted up as usual. I put the 5600X back into the build, and the same happens... I get a white CPU light on the motherboard and the PC doesn't even boot to BIOS...
Does anyone know why this is happening? All other website posts are leading me to believe it's a faulty CPU but I wanted to check with the PCSpecialist experts before I came to that conclusion! I've checked the 5600X and there are no bent pins - looks like it's in good condition. It's brand new too.
Many thanks!
