Question Ryzen 5600X3D compatibility with MSI B550M MORTAR MAX WIFI ?

Thinking of getting a 5600X3D. Specs for the 5600X3D said it would be compatible with B550 AM4 boards, so I figured it would work as a drop in upgrade for the board i already have. Have entered my new build into PC Part Picker and it says the CPU isnt compatible with the mobo. Is there anything that would cause this to be true, or is it just that PC Part Picker hasnt been updated with the new information for this cpu?

You might need to update the BIOS in your motherboard before it will recognize the new X3D CPU.

It will be compatible but will probably require a BIOS update.

All of the information I've seen indicates it works in any board that supports the 5800X3D, but that it doesn't rule out updates for it as well.

From the Tom's review:

Motherboard vendors tell us that the Ryzen 5 5600X3D was enabled in the same AGESA revision (underlying BIOS code) that enabled the Ryzen 7 5800X3D when it launched back in April 2022. Therefore, any AM4 motherboard with an AGESA 1.2.0.6b (or newer) BIOS will work with the 5600X3D.
