Ryzen 7 1700 Crashing On R6S

I have seen other posts about this and no fixes have worked. My r6s keeps on crashing while playing. AMD has had problems with r6s lately and no fixes for me, it crashes after a few games. Is there any other fix then turning off SMT because I really do not want to do that. Please help, thank you.

From a quick scan of other forums and users with the same problem, the SMT "fix" seems to be the one that makes a difference. For gaming, going from 16 threads to 8 threads will have zero impact on performance of the game. Try it, you can easily re-enable in the BIOS if desired.

I wouldn't mind to disable SMT but I've heard to re-enable it you have to clear CMOS which is really annoying because you have to open up your computer. Is this the case or can you actually just re-enable in the bios.

It is just a BIOS setting. I can't imagine why a reset to default would be necessary to re-enable.
