Ryzen 7 1700 + GTX 1070 Ti at 1440p 144hz???

Would this be a good combo? I'm looking into upgrading into 1440p, but I want to know if my build can handle it.

The GTX1070Ti is a good 1440p card. Should get you 144Hz no problem in many games depending on quality settings.

If you're in the market for a GSync (VRR) display, most people agree that once you get >100fps you can't tell the difference.

Why are you looking at a Ryzen 1700 instead of the Ryzen 2700?

EDIT: Yes, Ryzen 2700/2700X is newer, and improved, but it will bump the cost of your build... Now, you can probably get away with this instead, unless you really need those extra cores.

Yeah, 4k's gonna get ya. 1440p has the least compromises, so that's where I'm upgrading to. Might want to turn that down to 1440p when possible, as 4k is pretty difficult to run on any build.
