I read a lot of good things about these cpu, i was wondering if they are going to be available as descktop cpu, i would love to build a mini itx pc with them.

the AM4 APU right now are still pretty bad, coz they're still using the older architecture
u version won't come to the desktop, but they might apply the architecture in the form of a new APU Line-up, the Raven Ridge, that architecture might be applied to the PC version next year... u can put your hopes there instead


the thing is, Ryzen is already available for desktop PC, in the form of Ryzen 3, 5, and 7

the Ryzen U series are the CPU lineup for ultra thin laptops [fighting against Intel's U lineup]

so u won't see any of them on the desktop version imho

The NUC type systems use the Intel U series, so you could theoretically build one with these Ryzen 7 2700U chips and they'd smoke the NUC and provide semi-decent graphics.
