Ryzen 7 2700x all the way for proper workloads. You can always upgrade to 3rd or 5th gen down the line as well if you get the right motherboard.

The core and cache enhancements of the 3600 make it faster in AE even though it has 2c/4t less to work with. Even better would be a 5600x if you have the motherboard support for it.

Decent for the price. And you can always upgrade to 3rd or 5th gen down the road without needing to change out your motherboard.

It depends on what future CPU you might want.

The 2700x and 3600 both will have no problem running on it...but if you plan on buying a 3950x down the road the lower end VRM on that motherboard may become an issue.
