The 2700x is 105w too.If you are looking at the plain 5800x, consider the 5700x. Close to the same performance but it’s a 65 watt cpu instead of 105 like the 5800x. So you should then be able to use the cooler from the 2700x fairly easily.
As for ram you wouldn’t have to get new ram. Would it perform slightly better, sure, but you probably aren’t talking a lot better. But ram is cheap right now for ddr4, so maybe grab a 32gb 3600mhz kit. Then you can sell your 2060 to help pay for the new cpu, as well as sell the 2700x.
b450 mobo take 5700x/5600x with a bios update correct? If thats the case i could add it in with rtx 3070/ti. I would buy the gpu before the cpu. Another thought was building a new system but i love my nzxt h400i but i feel putting stuff in is easier then taking out.
i checked my pc and all i see is a 6pin connector for my rtx 2060. Not sure if there is another 2 pin hiding somewhere. The PSU police are going to want to know what specific brand of PSU you have, like make and model. You don't need to upgrade ram, the 3000hz is fine.
5600x comes with a cooler, so no worries there.

Ill have to check again in my case.3070 requires a 650w PSU, so you are good there.
You might have an eight pin tucked into your case, or since your PSU is modular, it may be in the original box somwhere. Worst case is you would have to order a replacement cable.

3070s on ebay open box/used are around $400 and I saw 3070 tis for under $500For paste I like Arctic mx4. As far as gpu, 3070 is good, consider an rx 6700xt or 6750xt as alternates if you are open to amd. They’ll be pretty close in performance to the 3070 but should be priced lower. I was looking the other day on Newegg and an rx 6700xt was about 369 iirc. The 3070 for a new unit sold by Newegg was over 500.
Which one would pair up good with a rtx 3070 a 5600x or 5700x . Both are really cheap right now. i just want the best performance in gaming for a while. It should support 5000 series. Double check but even my asrock b350 supports them. If you go to the 5800x, you may consider the 5800x3d. More money but then you should be good a few more years.
