I just built a new pc and it’s only my 2nd build. I’ve got a ryzen 7 3700 with the stock cooler. My temperatures never exceed 74 degrees Celsius but under no load the processor is spiking in temperature. Say it idles at 35 c it will spike to 45 then slowly drop back down and spike again. My question is, is this normal? Did I mess up applying the stock cooler with the ore applied thermal pasted or is this common with new processors? Also is 74 degrees too hot for a processor although I’m pushing it as hard as I ever will given that I only play the same game? Tia.
