Hi guys,

It's me, again. I'll slowly upgrade my PC, because it needs to. I'm currently running this setup:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2666Mhz C16
GPU: MSI RX 580 Armor OC 8G

First, I want to upgrade my CPU, and, to be fair, I don't know which one to choose between these two; The Ryzen 7 5700X or the Ryzen 7 5800X.
It would be for gaming, to play at solid 1080P (the GPU will be changed later).

Thanks for any recommendation.

Depends on the price, if there is little difference in price, go with the 5800X but, it's not worth paying a lot extra over the 5700X. Unless you are someone who likes running benchmarks, you won't notice the difference.
On Amazon, the Ryzen 5800X is at 219€ (234$) while the Ryzen 7 5700X is at 207€ (221$), and I don't really run benchmarks, to be fair, I don't really care about them, I just care about my in-game performance. So the 5800X would be a better choice for you with such a few $ difference?

Given such a small premium being asked for, I'd go with the 5800X.

Keep in mind that that for 5800x you are going to need a much better cooler than with 5700x but loose just bit of performance.
That MB is not exactly a powerhouse with it's VRM, 65W 5700x it can handle with ease vs 105W for 5800x.
