It will as long as you update the bios. The VRM are able to handle up to a 5900x without issue

so basically what I'm reading at is that I need to get a usb flash drive and go to the msi website and download the latest bios for my motherboard. Then reboot into the bios menu and install the flash drive file??

Why not B550's that cost half of that.
