News Ryzen 7 5800X CPU now $128, an all-time low and just $16 per core

My 5800X is paired with a 4080 Super, but I have a 75 Hz 1440p ultra-wide, so I don't really notice any CPU bottlenecks. And I still need DLSS 2 and 3 for path tracing in certain games.

The irony of a mid-range GPU costing more than literally every other component in your system combined...
And a mid-range motherboard is now at $500, GPU is not the only one inflating.
PCIe Gen 5 is too pricey and 9000 cpu are only 30% more performant than 5000 but for at least $1500 for the trinity cpu+mobo+mem.
With the ryzen 5000 coupled with a radeon rx 6000 you can play all the games with good graphisms for less than 30% of the price of the newer generation.

I see plenty of AMD X870E motherboards for under $500 and several under $400, along the same lines as previous high end chipset boards. I paid $390 for my X570S board in late 2021, towards the end of AM4's life.
