so basically i manually overclocked my ryzen 7 5800x to 4.6 at 1.36v which shows no instability cinebench r20 passes no issues in games but i've noticed while gaming or in the cpuz it shows 4549 to 4556 not 4.6 from my past experience with other cpus i remember cpuz or in game monitoring with rivatunner i could see the correct overclock value whats wrong here voltage limitation? What you are seeing is "Effective clock" and that means same as if it was a single core processor. That's how Ryzen works, as soon as one core gets close to maximum load, another core takes part of the load. Only time you will see maximum frequency is if you run expressively single core...

That's how Ryzen works, as soon as one core gets close to maximum load, another core takes part of the load. Only time you will see maximum frequency is if you run expressively single core application and those are mostly benchmark programs.
Another variation can be due to BCLK (FSB) not staying at full 100MHz but varying somewhat bellow that.

Use a proper monitoring utility to see what really going on...suggest HWINfo.

I would not run that high voltage. To figure out your max voltage, do the following (paraphrasing ShrimpBrime but it's also recommended by Buildzoid):

'In BIOS, Enable PBO, everything else on auto. Run Prime95 128k (both boxes) FFT with in-place unticked. (torture test) The SVI2 TFN (v-core) reading in HWInfo 64, what that reads, that is your fitness voltage.
The FIT voltage is your chip's safe voltage. Manually overclock frequency to this only. Going above is when you risk degradation.'

With a static overclock, the safe voltage you want to hit will be the same in Prime95 128k FFT.
