I recently built a pc with the following specs

asus x570 i gaming
ryzen 7 5800x
evga rtx 3080 ti ftw 3
corsair vengeance 3600 2x16
nzxt kraken x63 280mm
coolermaster v850 sfx

my cpu has been having temp issues.. it frequently idles at 112f to 120f (44c to 48c) i don't know why it does this, i've gone back and repasted the cpu multiple times with two different AIO coolers
i've used the arctic 420mm and my current x63 280mm (recently moved to sff build) and both have me idling around 112-120f (44-48c) and rocketing up to 150-160f (65-71c) while playing valorant
whilst gaming i understand the cpu goes under load but the fps is capped at 160 and i'm on all low settings..
any thoughts for a clueless gamer on how to fix this?

I'm not so sure about that.
If the gpu draws cooler air from all around the bottom and expels some of its waste heat out the mesh side, right below the side intake AIO... is all the air the AIO taking in actually fresh while playing?
i forgot gpu expels heat out that way :disrelieved: that makes some sort of since while gaming but with 90f (32c) idle temps for gpu i'd assume that wouldn't contribute to the hot cpu?

No. That's just Ryzen 5000's quirks. Most of the cores are sleeping during lighter loads, with one or two 'springing awake' really quickly to take care of tasks, so they can sleep.
Intel cpus do basically the same thing.
