Cooler is Noctua NH-D15S. I even put it in eco mode. Both are brand new. I followed the instructions on the cooler and put a drop of paste rought the size of a pea. It covers the top and even slightly went over the edge. They don't seem to have a phone number to contact tech support either.

Hey there,

So that method for that CPU, isn't going to go well, because of the design of the CPU. You would be better using the card method to put a layer of the entire IHS. Alternatively you can try the 9 dot method, by placing smaller dots of paste on the CPU.

Like this: Noctua NT-H1 3.5g Manual EN

Just scroll down.

What paste are you using?

These CPU's are designed to run at max temp to provide max performance. So hitting 85c under load is expected. But maybe not so for some games.
