I've just upgraded my build to this.

PC works great and doesn't randomly shut down after I had all these issues.
Bios needed updating(flash bios). PSU was too weak, needed a 1200W or more. The ram needed to be switched to xmp in bios settings or it kept shutting down. Using two ram slots, instead of 4, seemed to fix the issue with system not starting when using 4 ram sticks and xmp. HOWEVER, my PC is now overheating when I am gaming. Only when I'm gaming. I have a Corsair h150i, which should be plenty for my build but it still overheats when I'm playing my game. In the Corsair software, it shows that my GPU temp runs all the way to 82% when in-game but 50% when not in game.

And CPU temp will rise from 30 to 42°C in literally 15mins. As soon as I get out of the game. The GPU and CPU temp drops. The GPU will drop almost immediately but CPU takes a minute to get back to 30°C.

Do I need to up the voltage on the CPU? I've never overclock so IDK.
Should I change cooler?
Is my PSU still too and I maybe need more power?
Please help!

What exactly are the temps coming from the cpu? I would use HWmonitor to monitor all your temps. Check to make sure your cooling plate from the AIO is flush against the cpu. You can check this by pulling the cooling plate off and checking the spread pattern of the thermal paste. It should cover the cpu and the cooling plate should be even to the size of the cpu. Of course you will have to reapply the thermal paste after doing this. What settings are you using on the AIO itself? Custom curve, quiet, High performance etc?

CPUID HWMonitor is perhaps not the best monitoring program to use if you require accuracy. HWMonitor regularly shows my 7950X running at peak frequencies of 6522MHz on most cores, which is highly unlikely.

I've seen other people say that HWiNFO gives consisently more accurate results on most motherboard chipsets.

I still use HWMonitor but I don't believe everything it reports.

As for a 7800X3D rising from 31 to 42C after 15 minutes, it's just the mass of the cooler absorbing heat from the CPU. I recently had my 7950X runnning continuously for 36 hours at a reported temperature of 89C during a 4K video render, so I don't think 42C during gaming is anything to worry about.

I would advise installing the most recent BIOS which includes the recent 1.30V limit to prevent catastrophic overheating in X3D processors.

I re-seated the cpu cooler and it seems to have fix the issue. my cpu now cap at 80 degree celsius. Before it was going to 90, I was wrong. It wasnt 30 to 42, those numbers are the temp of the cpu cooling fan.
