Right now i got a i5 with a 1080ti im going to switch my motherboard and cpu to a ryzen 7 and a amd motherboard will i have to do anything other than maybe update the bios or will i have to reset my pc or anything like that?
Do i have to reset my pc to do that or how do i even reinstall osIf you are changing the motherboard, reinstalling the OS will most likely be required. If you have a Windows 10 key, just link the key to your Microsoft account, and then do this upgrade, then reinstall Windows. When it asks for a key, select the I don't have a key option, then you can later re-link your Microsoft account and Windows will get activated. Other than that, I don't think there's anything except making sure your drivers are up to date as well.
Here's a guide for the linking:

So should i just switch out my mother board and processor and then clean my ssd in the bios with the new motherboard?Yes. Start with a fresh install. You may need to purchase a new license if you want to have it activated.
I already got windows on a thumbdrive i used for my pc a week ago will that be fine? You need to create a bootable USB. Microsoft has an official 'Windows Media Creation Tool' that will help you create a USB that can be used to install Windows.

This guide will help you through the process, and you can ask on this thread or a new one if you get stuck anywhere. Use the steps for 'Reinstall Windows 10 using Installation media' on the guide above.
