I have i7-8700 now. I want to upgrade but in country I live 5900X is nowhere to be found. And nobody knows when will it restock. And when it will, the price can be 30%-40% higher. But I can find 5800X.
I want to play most demanding games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077 etc. at 1440p. I'm also planning to stream. I won't do any video editing, rendering or heavy Photoshop / After Effects etc use. Only gaming and streaming. GPU, RAM, PSU no problem for now. So only problem is CPU (I know AM4 motherboard is required too)
My question is; would I even notice the difference between 5800X and 5900X in gaming and streaming?

Side Note: I will probably upgrade 2-3 years later again.

5800x
The single thread performance is the same.
What you get with the 5900x is 24 threads vs. 16 for the 5800x.
That will make no difference in games at all.
Few games make effective use of more than 4-6 threads(multiplayer excepted)

Thank you for answering. Do you also think it won't make any difference when streaming too?

I have no experience with streaming.
How do you do now with the 12 threads of your i7-8700?
5800X is about twice as competent.

I have bought 5800X. When the time I need a stronger CPU comes in few years, more powerful CPUs than 5900X would be sale by then. I will see how it goes now. Thank you again.
