Hi guys,
I've recently returned to the community after a good few years away and am currently in the process of eyeing up parts for my new PC. Seems like I've returned at an exciting time!
Decided on Ryzen 5 and the more expensive ASRock X370 Taichi as it had Wifi and Bluetooth.
My question is about the memory; the official product page states it supports 3200Mhz. I've recently read things about AMD rolling out updates to manufacturers in regards to support for 4000Mhz.
Firstly, ignoring the official RAM QVL, would I generally be okay with anything that's 3200Mhz? Secondly, could I anticipate the support for higher frequencies by purchasing the relevant 4000mhz RAM but running it "capped" at 3200Mhz for now, or would it not work at all?
Thank you very much.
