Ryzen and Nvidia GPU!

Hello guys, as the title says, a friend wants to buy a ryzen 5 1600x for gaming and work too, but he wants nvidia 1060 graphics, not AMD, will everything work fine? Or he must go ryzen + amd card? Thank you in advance

1060 is fine, the GPU and CPU brand don't need to match

Of course you can mix things up, just make sure the socket in the motherboard is the same as on the CPU. Any graphics card can be used on any CPU configuration.

That's fine, i'd get a 1600 though, the 1600X has little to offer over it, and also doesn't even come with a cooler.
The extra $60-80 or so that tacks on isn't worth it, at all.
The stock cooler is very beefy and great with the 1600.
No issues though.
