Ryzen APU supports DisplayPort, mobo doesn't ... is there any way I can use Freesync?

Hi

I've just built a Ryzen 2400g system, including a FreeSync capable monitor. Freesync wasn't on my radar when I put it together, though now I realise it's a possibility I wish I'd researched it earlier!

The monitor (LG 25UM58 Ultrawide) is not on the list of monitors supporting Freesync over HDMI (I updated the drivers on the offchance it has been added, but no luck), nor does it have a DisplayPort input. So I have a Freesync capable APU with no DisplayPort output available, and a Freesync capable monitor with no DisplayPort input (2 x HDMI only) - I guess it's a bit of a long shot that I could overcome both of these hurdles using adapters?

For what it's worth, the mobo (Asus B350M-A) does have DVI and VGA outputs in addition to HDMI.

Thanks in advance,

People selling it are saying freesync, but LG's product page does not show anything about it. And AMD doesn't list the LG 25UM58 I think you need a different monitor to get and use freesync.

This is meant for the 29UM58 but they had to go into the monitors menu to enable freesync... maybe it has the same hardware as the 25UM58 just in a different screen size.

That's what I thought too based on Googling ... but I downloaded the tool which lets you update the monitor properties from within Windows, and it had an option to turn on FreeSync (for some reason disabled by default). So I'm reasonably confident this model supports it despite it not being mentioned on the main product page. Not 100% certain though!

Thanks for looking into it!
