Hi everyone, I just built a new ryzen system which unfortunately doesn't start at all. I used all the parts from my previous computer except for the motherboard and the CPU.

The CPU was bought brand new and the mobo was an open box unit. If you can hopefully see in the picture, the there are some lights on the motherboard that are turning on and the GPU seems to be receiving power as well, could this mean that the motherboard is actually OK?

Things I've tried:
Remove GPU and all unnecessary connections
Different Ram
Cleared cmos battery
Try to jump start
Checked and rechecked connections
Checked and rechecked whether Cpu is properly installed

I don't have any spare motherboards or cpus so which do you think is more likely to be the culprit? Thank you.

Solution
It could very well be due to the RAM. I need the exact model of it to tell you if you'd be experiencing any grievances with it or not. Generally, HyperX RAM SHOULD work just fine with Ryzen, but you never know.

It doesn't power on at all. I did try to jump start it using a screw driver, no success.

Full specs:
B350m-a motherboard
Ryzen 5 1400
16gb ram
Gtx 960
