Hi,
Im in the process of a new build.
I've selected Asus Rog Strix Gaming-F paired with a R2200G for now. Will upgrade cpu and get discrete graphics in future. Only need it capable for running Autocad Lt 2017 and light gaming.
I'm aware that the motherboard is a mismatch for the cpu and overkill for what I need but my options are limited and need this build asap. Laptop died and cant afford not to have a working pc. This motherboard also provides me in my opinion a good platform for the future that should last me a long time.
According to Asus website their QVL is from 22 May 2017. Is this outdated and are there other ram that would be able to run at the advertised speeds?
Here are my options:
https://www.wootware.co.za/computer-hardware/memory-ram/shopby/16gb_2_x_8gb/ddr4/in_stock_with_wootware?dir=asc&order=price
The options in the link doesn't seem to be on the QVL. However the G.Skill Flare X advertises AMD compatible but is R800($67) more expensive than the G.Skill F4-3200C16D-16GVKB Ripjaws V Series which is the cheapest 3200mzh option.
Can you please recommend any of the options listed in the link. Obviously the cheaper the better. Or maybe someone has this motherboard with one of the options listed that run at good frequency that is needed for Ryzen and especially APU's.
Thanks
