Time to upgrade my system (in time for Black Friday deals) UK
Have a decent P supply and will be increasing my ram to 32 Gig
Motherboard - mpg x570 Gaming Edge Wifi
What i'm having trouble with is deciding on the correct Ryzen cpu and Graphics combo?

Have a 1440p monitor (not too bothered about 4k for the moment) and would like to play on High settings on most modern games, so not sure the newer mid-to-top end GFX cards would be worth it for me?
Budget - around £500-1k for both (but flexible )

All advice appreciated

What is your current build spec?

Your motherboard supports 5xxx Ryzen, so according to what CPU you have now there may not be a lot there to move up to.

The RX7800XT should be right on your graphics card budget, according to the power supply. The big thing there is whether you care about Ray Tracing features. The RX is not the match even to comparable 30xx series where it comes to RT, IMO.

Currently have a Ryzen 7 3700x so what should i upgrade it to to make the best use of the RX7800xt?

No idea what the make and model of your power supply is. You want a reliable 750w psu for this card.

Id get Corsair Rm850x. 750w should do with those specs but 850w be more comfort for you dealing with transient spikes from graphics cards. RMx series come with 10yr warranty. Avoid 1, 3 or 5yr warranty units. Minimum should be 7yrs.

Other power supplies here you can refer and compare to. Remember the warranty bit, that is usually the tell tail for quality.
