Ryzen CPU change, now have no display.

Replaced ryzen 2200g with ryzen 2600 on an Asus Prime b350-plus, but I have no display showing on my monitor.
I've tried with different combinations of RAM/Graphics cards/etc. but still haven't had any luck.

Are you using the video output from your graphics card and not your motherboard? Are you running the latest bios for your motherboard?

You need an updated bios and a gpu for the 2600 to work. You may have damaged your mobo.

Update BIOS
Make sure Cable is coming from Graphics Card to Monitor and NOT the motherboard.
If you dont have a Graphics Card, then it won't work because the 2600 doesn't have onboard graphics

I've been running it from the graphics card, yes. So I'd have to update the bios with the 2200g back in the motherboard, as it was working fine with that installed?

Yes, you can try updating the bios. Although both CPUs are 2nd-gen Ryzen, so they both SHOULD be working. But since one of them isn't you should try updating the bios.

That was my thinking too, as they're both 2nd generation CPUs. I'll give it a go though. Cheers.

I popped in my 2200g and updated the bios and all appears to be working. I would've thought, with them both being the same generation ryzen CPUs, that it wouldn't be necessary, but it worked. Thanks all!
