Currently I own Ryzen 5 2600x and Im planning to upgrade it to 3600x.
What upgrade in performance can I expect for 144hz gaming (cpu will be liquid cooled by nzxt x62 cooler) and I have vega 64 nitro+ gpu to pair it with.

Solution
So coming from a first gen 1600x to the 3600x I saw roughly a 15 FPS boost with a Vega 56 red dragon. The 3600x pegs the 56 so I would imagine you will see 5-10% higher frame rates than what I am getting. Currently at 1080p, 144hz I would say average frame rates for me are around 125-130 at high settings. Rarely do I play at max/ ultra settings unless I’m playing single player/ story mode games which like I said is not very often.

Specs just Incase anyone is interested.

Ryzen 5 3600x
Vega 56 red dragon
ASRock fatality b450
EVGA 16 gb @ 2933 mhz
Corsair rm 750x

I just upgraded to a Ryzen 7 2700X and I am very pleased with it. Right now, the newer third gen Ryzen processors are out so I would either look at a new third gen or get the Ryzen 7 2700X. So far it is working very nice with my MSI RX 590 and I upgraded to 16GB RAM and it has been able to run some games at 4k at moderate FPS.
