Ryzen CPU with Vega vs. Old HD7850?

Being away from the computer building since forever. I've been very happy with my current build with a i5-3570K and a HD7580 but no doubt it is getting really old now, when it comes to GPU power for gaming.
I've been restratining myself for quite a while to go out and upgrade the current build since I'm currently boy-cutting the market due to the outrages prices og RAM and GPUs :)...
But catching up on the reading of Ryzen CPUs with Vega chips got me a bit interested. If the Vega chip can match my current HD7850 I may be tempted to go with an initial build without a districte GPU... But looking at the benchmarking for a Ryzen CPU with Vega does not really provide straight forward answers to me...

So how well is the Vega chip in the Ryzen CPUs? Would anything come close to an outdated HD7850?

Solution
No desktop iGPU is yet powerful enough to support games like GTAV/FO4, at the performance levels you are expecting. You will need a dedicated card for those kinda titles.
It's boycotting. Urban dictionary has a very horrible answer for your boy-cutting. That being said,

What do you do with your current system? A list of app's will help get a more tailored answer. In retrospect, given how many generations have passed since the HD7580, you should be able to achieve the goals you're eyeing but it's always a good idea to let us know what you do with your system. If gaming, list the title you game on and their resolutions.

The 7850 is still pretty powerful compared to the Vega 11 in Ryzen...

It will be a downgrade for you. If you want a cheapish decent upgrade, go for the 1050ti... https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-AMD-HD-7850/3649vs2182

Well maybe the outrages prices made me go crazy and went out boy-cutting 😀

Nothing fancy pancy is really needed. Most of my gaming needs can still be fulfilled with my HD7850 for 1080p gaming.
I usually play alot of strategy games like the CiV series and Company of Heroes 2, which do not really require that much to run - and I have really no problem playing optimized BF games like BF1.

Where I started to notice a significant performance drop is when playing ported games like GTAV. Fallout 4 was also on the edge of struggling a bit with medium/high settings. As said, I just need it to match the HD7850 in performance so I can speculate in buying a discrite GPU later on. Generally big open world games are becoming harder to run.

Often the problem lies with AAA titles that are ported for both PC and consoles - those games are the ones sucking all the power out of my GPU :)

OK thanks for that clarification. I'm just quite surprised the HD7850 is still holding on that well (although it's clocked to be more similar to HD7870). I think the really limitation to my card, for the gaming I'm doing is probably my 2GB video-ram cap.
