[SOLVED] Ryzen Max Temp Question (again)?

I haven't found any indication in Ryzen Master when core temp is getting into the 'too hot' range. I have a R5-1600. So far, I've gotten it as high as 60C with no way of knowing what's too high. The discussions here on the forum seem to range from mid 60Cs up to 90C. (??!) Can anyone tell me what temp I should I stay at/below to remain safe?

Under 80C while gaming is good, under 90C while stress testing is good.

Your welcome, yea the older Phenoms & FX series cap was 63C and then you'd experience thermal throttling and possibly shutdowns. Ryzen has been great so far and I'm excited to see what 3rd gen brings to the table.

Couple more things if you don't mind...

(1) Is 1.5V still the safe max core voltage for Ryzen like it was on older AMD CPUs? I haven't touched to vcore yet. Just got it to Ryzen 5 1600X speed for starters, using the multi.

(2) If I leave Turbo enabled, will it climb too as I OC the CPU? In other words, if I'm at Ryzen 5 1600X speed now, is my Turbo at Ryzen 5 1600X speed (4GHz) as well?

(1) From the reviews I've read 1.35-1.45 (depending on cooling) is the max you want to give Ryzen without affecting lifespan.

(2) If you've gone past the boost speed then it won't scale with your overclock but on a first gen Ryzen your cap is 4-4.1 (very few reach 4.2).

So how do I know what my turbo or boost speed is after I OC?
Or should I just disable Turbo to get a more stable max OC?

I would just disable turbo and manually overclock as your overclock is going to at least match the boost speed if not exceed it.
