So yesterday i finished building my new pc, Ive upgraded to the following:
Ryzen 5 1600
ASRock A320M-HDV R4.0
8GB DDR4 hyperX
Amd RX 460 4GB
240GB SSD
1TB HDD
Prior to this build i was using an Athlon 880k and monitoring cpu usage in AMDOverdrive, I found it very simple and easy to use. With the new ryzen i am monitoring cpu usage in Ryzen master and whenevr i play any game at all i am noticing the all 6 core speeds are at a constant 3700mhz? Is that normal? My athlkon used to play these games without breaking a sweat. Also i was under the impression that my cpu had a maximum of 3600mhz? I know it probably a rookie error but if someone could help me understand it would be much appreciated. Im not interested in overclocking so if there is a simpler program i can be using to monitor cpu usage please let me know. In afterburner if disagrees with ryzen master and shows the cpu isnt working hard at all.
Thanks in advance
