Ryzen or FX

Ryzen or FX for 1080p gaming and rendering .
I have a i5 2500 right now which does decent but I want something better and faster for streaming and rendering and gaming @1080p while I record... Is FX still good ?

No definitely ryzen. Fx is older and not nearly as fast as ryzen. You will be much happier.

The FX series is dead. Get Ryzen. The Ryzen 5 1600 is awesome.

No question, ryzen. Fx was subpar performance several years ago. Ryzen's improved the ipc to move performance closer to that of haswell while offering higher core count cpu's with their version of hyper threading for comparatively cheap.
