Question Ryzen over Intel?

AMD is about 17 days out from release of the Ryzen 3600X-3900X...; the new 3600X is rumored to be much faster than even the 2700X, much less the 2600...

(If just now ordering parts, I'd be tempted to see just what these new CPUs bring to the table, as they could very well induce some price drops on many other older processors. (or so many are hoping)

No but a lot depends on what the pc is used for and what RAM you use with Ryzen.
Well mostly for gaming and somewhat streaming, im also upgrading ram to 16gb 3000 mhz

The reason im trying to go for ryzen is because the motherboard I bought doesn’t support the mhz on my ram, my mobo is msi b250 gaming pro, if i wanna upgrade my mobo I’ll have to upgrade my cpu too to an 8th gen which is too expensive

My current specs are
Msi b250 gaming pro
Gtx 1060 6gb
Ripjaws 8gb 2800mhz
Intel i5 7600

As stated above I'd definitely wait and see what the Ryzen 3000 series CPU's do on benchmarks once they are released.
And FYI, I have a Ryzen 5 2600 OC'd to 4 GHz with 3200 RAM OC'd to 3333 MHz and my PC outperforms most R5 2600x rigs in the benchmarks I have run.
A stock R5 2600 has about the same single core performance as your i5-7600 but has a lot better multi core performance.
